Who we are

AI HairStyle ("the App", "we", "us") is an iOS app. This policy explains what the App collects and what it does with your photos. Questions go to appservice.desk@yahoo.com.

Your photos

The App works on photos you choose. You pick them from your photo library or take them with the camera, and you are always the one who starts that — the App never opens your library or camera on its own.

• Photo library access is used only to let you pick a picture to edit. The App does not browse, scan, index, or upload your library.
• Camera access is used only when you choose to take a photo inside the App.
• Saving writes a finished image back to your photo library, and only when you tap Save.
• The photo you are editing is held on your device only while you are editing. Closing the App discards it.
• History saves every look you create to your device so you can find it again. These images stay on your device until you delete them, or until you delete the App. They are never uploaded to us.

Sending a photo to be edited

To create a new look, the photo you selected is sent to Google, which runs the AI model that generates the result. The result comes back to your device. We ask before this happens the first time.

• Google acts as our processor and is contractually bound not to use your photo to train its models.
• The photo is sent to produce your image and for no other purpose. It is not linked to your name, email, or any identity, because the App holds none.
• We never receive or store your photos. They go from your device to Google and the result comes straight back; nothing passes through a server of ours.

Face data

Most photos people bring to the App contain their own face, so this section sets out exactly what happens to it.

What we collect. Only the photograph you choose, which may contain a face. The App does not perform face detection, face recognition, face matching, age or gender estimation, or emotion analysis. It does not create, derive, or store a faceprint, face template, face geometry, face embedding, or any other biometric identifier, and it cannot recognise you or tell one user's face from another's.

How it is used. The photograph is used for one purpose only: generating the edited image you asked for. It is never used for advertising, profiling, identification, analytics, or training AI models.

Who it is shared with. Google only, as our processor, so its AI model can generate the result. It is shared with nobody else — no advertisers, no data brokers, no other third party. Google is contractually bound not to use it to train its models.

Where it is stored. On your device. The photo travels directly from your device to Google and the generated image returns straight to your device; it never passes through, and is never stored on, any server of ours. Google processes it transiently to produce the image.

How long it is kept. We retain it for no time at all, because we never receive it. The photo being edited is held in memory only while you are editing and is discarded when the App closes. Images you have created are saved in History on your device, and stay there until you delete them.

How to delete it. Delete individual images, or all of them, from the History screen in Settings. Deleting the App removes everything it stored on your device. Because no face data ever reaches us, there is nothing held by us for you to request the deletion of.

Data we collect

The App collects anonymous usage statistics through Google Firebase Analytics so we can understand which features are used and improve the App. This includes:

• Usage events — for example which screens are opened and which tools are used
• General device information — device model, iOS version, language and approximate location derived from your IP address (country or city level; the App never uses GPS)
• A randomly generated app-instance identifier used to count sessions (not your name, email, phone number, or advertising ID)
• Purchase events — which product was bought and its price, so we can understand what people find worth paying for. This never includes payment details, card numbers, or your Apple ID

Your photos are never included in analytics. This data is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites. Google processes it on our behalf as described in the Firebase privacy documentation.

The App does not have:

• User accounts or sign-in of any kind
• Advertising networks or ad identifiers
• Social media SDKs or trackers
• Any sale or sharing of personal information

Purchases and your credit balance

Credits and subscriptions are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Apple handles the payment and tells the App whether a purchase succeeded — we never see your card details, billing address, or Apple ID. Your purchase history with Apple is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

So that your credits survive reinstalling the App or moving to a new device, we store a small record against the anonymous purchase identifier Apple gives us for your subscription. That record holds your credit balance, which plan you are on, and when it renews. It contains no name, email, photo, or anything that identifies you personally, and the identifier is meaningless outside the App.

To let your device read and update that record securely, the App signs in anonymously to Google Firebase. This creates a random session identifier — not an account. It has no password, cannot be logged into, and is deleted automatically after 30 days of inactivity.

Sharing

When you share a finished image to another app, iOS hands the picture to that app directly. What happens to it afterwards is governed by that app's own privacy policy, not ours.

This website

This site is a set of static pages hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. It uses Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are read; that measurement is anonymous and is not linked to anything you do inside the App. As with virtually all web hosting, Google's infrastructure may temporarily log standard technical data (such as IP addresses) for security and operational purposes, as described in Google's Firebase privacy documentation.

Children's privacy

The App is rated 4+ and may be used by children with a parent or guardian's permission. It has no accounts, no sign-in, no ads, and no way for one user to contact another.

We hold no name, email address, phone number or advertising identifier for anyone, child or adult. The analytics described above are anonymous, are never used to build a profile, and are never used to track anyone across other companies' apps or websites. Ad personalisation is switched off in the App entirely.

Purchases are made through the Apple ID that owns the device. Parents can require approval for every purchase with Ask to Buy, or block purchases altogether in Screen Time.

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will remove it.

Your rights

We hold no personal data that identifies you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, export, correct, or delete on your behalf. Your photos, your History and your settings live on your device; deleting the App removes them and resets the anonymous analytics identifier.

The only thing we keep off your device is the credit balance described above, tied to an anonymous purchase identifier. Email us and we will delete it on request — note that doing so also removes any credits attached to it. For purchase and refund records, contact Apple through your App Store account.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
